A Decade-Topper EVERY YEAR WE BRAVE THE FOOT blisters, calf cramps and desert dehydration to bring you the absolute best Ford coverage from the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. All jokes aside, this is absolutely the Super Bowl of custom automotive for both classic and modern automotive manufacturers, builders and media from all over the world. Filling the entire Las Vegas Convention Center, which encompasses approximately 3.2 million square feet with exhibit space of 2 million square feet and meeting space of nearly 250,000 square feet, we aren’t kidding either when we say this is the world’s stage for all things automotive. We were definitely excited to notice the rise of both companies and builders showcasing their talents through Ford builds. We noticed quite a few new trends making their way into these classic trucks (check out the Ford F-100 Trends story on page 42) along with quite a few really top-notch builders using classic Ford canvases, which just gives us that ear-to-ear grin as we go strong into a new decade!Subscribe to our weekly newsletter We gathered some of the baddest Ford builds this year and put them together for you as our favorite standouts of the show. So, without further ado, here’s the best of the best on the world’s stage from the 2019 SEMA Show leading us into 2020 and beyond. 1969 Ford F-100 Built By: Jack’s Speed Shop Details: 1800 hp twin-turbo Coyote, MRC Fab IRS mandrel bent chassis, Mittler Bros Hydroshox, Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air, Precision Replacement Parts weatherstripping 1969 Ford F-100 Built By: Gateway Performance Owned By: Lonnie Childress Details: Ford Aluminator 5.2XS Crate, Tremec t56 Magnum trans, Curtis Speed custom wheels, Gateway Performance three-link, 14-inch Baer brakes 1973 F-100 Ranger XLT Built By: Gateway Performance Owned By: Nick Alfano Details: 302ci with built C4 trans, cold case radiator, TMI interior, Baer 14-inch brakes, Gateway Performance Rear three-link, Billet Specialties wheels 1950 Ford F1 – Friction F1 Built By: Weaver’s Customs Owned By: Mack Weaver Details: Cummins 4bt diesel engine, Ridetech suspension, insane amount of custom work throughout 1968 Ford F-100 – Frankenstein Built By: KCs Paint Shop Details: Whipple supercharged Coyote Aluminator, Roadster Shop fast track chassis, BASF paint, Wilwood brakes, Budnik wheels, Dakota Digital gauges, Restomod Air 1972 Ford F-100 Owned By: John Jennings Details: Ford Design award winner, Hellion twin-turbo 1000+hp Coyote, Roadster Shop fast track chassis, Precision Replacement Parts weatherstripping, Baer 14-inch 6p, FLO Airride Mfg. onboard, Forgeline wheels, Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air 1962 Ford F-100 Built By: Seyfer Specialties Details: Cummins r2.8 motor, 8-speed trans, Billet Specialties wheels, Dakota Digital gauges
