The AVI Comeback: Forbidden Fantasy Truck Show 2024

Back at the AVI in Nevada

Forbidden Fantasy Truck Club hosted its first show in 1998 in Southern California at a small amusement park. The show has gone through changes over the years, and in 2016, the club moved it to the AVI Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. The pandemic threw everything off track, and for a few years the show was held at another location.  But for 2024, the show was back at the AVI—and it sure felt good. 

The AVI boasts a huge grassy area right on the Colorado River where only painted vehicles are permitted to park. The club does this because they want people to have something to work toward. We saw many debuts at the show that had not yet been on the internet—what a treat! The asphalt area was not to be dismissed as there were some top-notch rides out there, as well as the vendors.

The AVI has two huge pools, private cabanas, a sandy beach where the cove has calm waters for swimming. There are also restaurants, a movie theater, and even a kid’s zone so parents can drop their kids off for a while and get away to do adult things.

Forbidden Fantasy worked hard to get the show back to the AVI, and they plan to continue hosting the show there as long as they are able.
