As the state’s largest custom automotive camping event, the show drew gearheads from all over—and, of course, we were right there in the thick of it. Rolling into the Oil and Gas Park, our senses were on overdrive with the level of custom rides on display at this year’s event. From slammed trucks dragging pavement to classic muscle shining under the southern sun, the variety was off the charts. Each vehicle showcased its owner’s dedication and passion, making it clear why Last Resort has been going strong since 2008.Subscribe to our weekly newsletter The atmosphere was electric, with live music setting the vibe and the aroma of local food trucks tempting us at every turn. The free camping for participants and vendors added a laid-back, community feel, making it easy to connect with enthusiasts and swap details about builds and mods. One of the standout moments was the showcase of the “baddest rides” from across the country. The level of craftsmanship was top-notch, and it was clear that everyone brought their A-game. The event also featured national vendors, giving us a chance to check out the latest products and trends in the custom truck world. It was a must-see for all things custom, and we made sure to take full advantage. As the sun set each evening, the afterparties kicked off, keeping the energy high and the good times rolling. It was a chance to unwind, enjoy some great music, and reflect on the day’s highlights with new friends. In short, the 2024 Last Resort Show was a weekend well spent. The combination of killer rides, great people, and that unique Louisiana hospitality made it an event we won’t forget.
