A Slam Dunk Custom Build

WHEN it comes to custom trucks, Art Zamora knows how to make a statement. Based in Houston, Art has turned his 2016 GMC Sierra into a jaw-dropping showpiece nicknamed Tennis Ball for its bold and bright aesthetic. With a mix of patience, vision, and some serious craftsmanship, this build stands out at every show it rolls into—proving that attention to detail and a clean, modern style are always a winning combo.

When asked about the key to building a truck like this, Art keeps it simple: “Patience is key. Never rush a masterpiece.

The transformation of Tennis Ball started with a full-frame bodydrop by Xtreme Creation and Suspension, giving it the aggressive stance it needed. Sitting low on 28×12 Raceline Monaco wheels with Lexani tires, this Sierra commands attention without even trying. The custom suspension work is flawless, and Art made sure the truck rides as smooth as it looks. No rubbing, no drama—just perfect fitment and killer style.

The body of Tennis Ball is equally impressive. The truck wears a sleek coat of Nardo Gray PPG Omni Plus, applied with precision by Ortiz Paint and Body in Chappell Hill, Texas. The clean lines and muted color are offset by bold custom accents, including color-matched interior pieces by Innov8 Audio. The result is a look that’s both modern and timeless, making it a standout in any lineup.

Inside, Art went all-out with custom upholstery by Interiors by Johnny, featuring Apex leather for a luxurious yet practical finish. The interior upgrades don’t just look good—they tie the whole build together, creating a seamless flow from the outside in. From custom door panels to perfectly matched details, it’s clear that every inch of this truck was meticulously planned and executed.

Art is no stranger to the show scene, and Tennis Ball has already made waves at events like LST, ATI, OTM, Bandas y Trokas, and more. When asked about the key to building a truck like this, Art keeps it simple: “Patience is key. Never rush a masterpiece.”

With plans for engine upgrades in the future, Tennis Ball’s journey isn’t over yet. For now, this Sierra is a testament to Art’s dedication to quality and his ability to bring his vision to life.
