With multiple features and even a couple of highly sought-after magazine covers, the world-famous Severed Ties car and truck club was the only possible option for this year’s custom truck “Club of the Year” award. Brett Oakes and Kurt Forqueran founded this amazing club in 1992, they never would have expected growth over the years that now includes individual chapters in place worldwide. The Severed Ties by-laws were originally created due to a mandatory requirement by the Southern California Mini-Truck Council. This was the only way to become a member club in this elite organization and gain real credibility throughout the industry. The intention of these bylaws was to show proof of organization within this club, and these bylaws remain posted for reference as to the laws of the club and how the club operates. Severed Ties is a non-profit organization that is legally registered with the State of California, something many truck clubs don’t take the time to do. Severed Ties is also a registered “One Club, All Chapters” member of the Southern Nevada Mini-Truck and Car Council as well as the Northern California Custom Vehicle Council since 2006.Subscribe to our weekly newsletter Aside from being a national and international custom truck organization, Severed Ties also provides additional services to members, including promoting the interests of vehicle enthusiasts; administering discount group purchasing programs; negotiating contracts with providers of lodging, branded apparel manufacturing and sales, automotive parts and accessories sales and installation; national event promotions; and quite a bit more. Official club members can obtain approved discounts on goods and/or services through the organization’s website. Which also offers online registration services for car club membership. If you want to join Severed Ties, contact the chapter nearest you or email SeveredReps@gmail.com for membership requests.
