Classic ’70 Ford F-250 with an Original Body
When Bennett Lisenby first started noticing old Ford trucks at a young age, they seemed to grab an unexplainable hold on him. Ever since, he has accumulated an impressive collection of them, but his affinity for the F-250 is clearly evident, as he owns more of these than any other model. After picking up this ’70, he already knew exactly what he wanted to build out of it: a restomod that would combine the best of yesteryear with the driveability of a modern truck. He also swapped out the original 2WD chassis to a 4x4.
The news that Ford was releasing a new mini-truck called the Maverick immediately piqued our interest. But when we heard that one was being built with a full ’90s throwback theme, we knew we had to bring it to our readers. Jeremy Bumpus from Corinth, Mississippi, was the builder behind this hopping mini-truck, and here’s what he said about it: “We knew right away we needed ’90s-style paint; that we wanted it not only to lay, but to hop; one crazy-stupid sound system; and of course, old-school wheels.”
The 4 Wheel Jamboree recently filled the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis with the most 4WD GM trucks you have ever seen in one place! Participants from all over the country drove or hauled their lifted GM trucks to this spectacular event. The show included events for all kinds of trucks, such as mud bog competition, MEGA truck, burnout contest, show and shine, and a maze of routes for trucks and owners to tackle to show off their four-wheel-drive capabil-ities.

Stage 4 of the Motortopia Showoff Series took place at Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing in Ocala, Florida, where the weather was perfect, the trucks were top notch, and free entry to the museum was icing on the cake. A few hundred auto enthusiasts from all over the country relaxed and enjoyed two full days fun. Because this event is open to all makes and models, it was impressive to see trucks take over the show field.
