East Tennessee Showdown came back for lucky event number three! Located at the East Tennessee Distillery in Piney Flats, Tennessee, and presented by Direct Paintless Dent Repair, the event was open to all makes and models. East Tennessee Distillery is steeped in the tradition of the Appalachian Mountains. Nestled in the hills of Piney Flats, East Tennessee Distillery produces award-winning moonshine for its customers. What a great place to host a truck show!
This year’s event was themed, “Moonshine and Mini-Trucks,” as the show’s organizers, participants and spectators are a group of mini-truckers putting their spin on the show scene. Distillery tours, special show-labeled moonshine, club games, DJs and great food all on-site made this a family-friendly event. Available awards included Top 50, Tennessee Top 3, Best Interior, Best Old School Mini-Truck, Best Paint, Best Classic, Best Engine, Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck and Best of Show Mini-Truck, just to name a few. Bonus awards for the kiddos who brought out their tricked-out pedal cars, bicycles or custom Power Wheels were available, too!
To keep with the Covid safety standards, hand sanitizer stations were set up all around the show fields so that spectators were able to stay clean and safe. The event crew set up the stands the morning of the event, and the East Tennessee Distillery provided its very own Apple Atcha hand sanitizer. This show allowed free spectator admission, which was nice during a time when there wasn’t much to do!
It’s great to see our scene following the guidelines and reopening safely. Be sure to follow this crew online and stay up to date for next year’s event. Now let’s see the best trucks from this year’s event!
