Living the Life and Printing the Passion

If you guys are anywhere near as excited as I am about the second half of 2020, I think we would probably get along pretty well. The sheer number of massive events that have been postponed to the second half, along with the SEMA show and multiple highly anticipated truck build debuts set to take place, mean the end of 2020 looks like it will make up for the disastrous first half we all just went through. Truck shows, multi-state cruises and even some live-action racing are all on the schedule before the end of this year. We know it’s tough for you guys to hit every exciting event in that short of a timeframe, but don’t worry. We have a few tricks up our sleeve that we will be throwing down sooner than you think.

The first of our many marvelous media must-sees will be coming directly to you for free on Aug. 8–9. We will be going live on YouTube and Facebook for the first-ever LMC Truck – Pro-Touring Shootout at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This event is the world’s first true Pro-Touring truck competition where the top three American truck brands—Chevy, Ford and Dodge—will be battling it out. This won’t be your standard “random guy with a cell phone on the side of the track” feed. We’ll have multiple camera operators and sophisticated equipment to seamlessly transition from camera to camera, offering a more enjoyable viewing experience, including overlays and commentators. For more info on the event head over to our website and search “Pro-Touring”.

The competition will have three individual segments to it: the Eddie Motorsports Truck-Only Autocross, the Belltech Sport Trucks Speed-n-Stop Challenge and American Powertrain Drivability cruise. Each truck will eventually cross the No Limit Engineering finish line.

For all the truck owners who don’t feel the need to race their trucks, the Trique Manufacturing Truck Corral show-and-shine area will be open to a limited number of custom show trucks. Also, Vendor Alley will be a designated area for manufacturers to show off their latest and greatest new products along with food options and apparel.

Street Trucks will cover the event live on social media, so get those apps in check. Video and amazing images will follow in print after the event. If you have the chance to make it, we look forward to seeing you at this first annual LMC Truck – Pro-Touring Truck Shootout! Hope you guys are watching, or maybe we will see you out there!
