Letter from our editor- Chris Hamilton! A Year of Passion and Purpose

Living the Life and Printing the Passion

The ups and downs of hard work is immeasurable on many levels. Some of us strive for the best but expect the worst in most situations so that we can be prepared if all hell breaks loose. Over the last year, I’ve been heavily focused on expanding the successes we’ve had in Street Trucks across all brands under the Engaged Media umbrella. We now have a unified team with the same goal in mind over at our other automotive brands including Diesel World, Tread magazine, Drive magazine, as well as our EV Builder’s Guide that most of you truck enthusiasts love to hate lol. It’s exciting times for the future of Engaged Media automotive brands and we hope you take the time to check out what the other magazines are up to each and every month.

THE passion and the personal stories I’ve come across prove to me that our amazing truck community is alive and well and we’re not going anywhere anytime soon.

I’ve also had the opportunity to hit the road quite a bit over the last year to take in the industry from all over the United States. The passion and the personal stories I’ve come across prove to me that our amazing truck community is alive and well and we’re not going anywhere anytime soon. I’m proud to say that I’ve met a bunch of incredible like-minded truck owners just like myself from all aspects and walks of life. From everyday blue-collar workers to high-profile celebrity tire shredders, the truck game is a viral infection that we are happy to host and spread.

During my most recent trip to California for the annual MPMC conference, we met up with some great individuals that some of you may or may not already know. Check out the editorial in this book as well as the upcoming OBS magazine as we interview and befriend some amazing truck owners including one of the founders of the Tapout brand known simply as Skrape, as well as a former martial artist turned high-performing podcaster, Brendan Schaub. Both of these larger than life individuals are just as down to earth as you would hope, especially when you get them talking about trucks. Interactions like this are what make this industry so amazing, and I can’t be more thrilled to be leading the charge. Here’s to the rest of 2024, see you on the streets.
