Event Coverage C10 INTERVENTION | A Group of Addicts and Their Drug of Choice

Intervention is defined as an occasion on which a person with an addiction or other behavioral problem is confronted by a group of friends or family members in an attempt to persuade them to address the issue.

But what if all those friends and family have the exact same addiction? Then it’s just a group of addicts getting together to pretend like they don’t have the same affliction. In this case, their drugs of choice are GM trucks that were born between 1908 and 1998—and we heavily support their addiction and highly recommend outsiders to partake. And, I have to admit, I’m sort of an addict myself.

With dedicated C10 events popping up around the country, the C10 Intervention truck show held in September at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn, California, is without a doubt North California’s premier annual event for these amazing works of art. Tony Ortega, president of C10 Club Sacramento, and Carlos Vidales are the brains behind the gathering. Renting out space at the fairgrounds was the first step to putting on this killer event, and incredibly supportive sponsors like Brothers Truck Parts made the planning process just that much easier. Vendors booths filled the sold-out spots and we saw some of the biggest names in the industry come out in full force. Names like Provost Motorsports, Alden American, C10 Talk and AZ Pro Performance are just a few of the talented insiders that set up shop to promote directly to their consumer.

More than a few new builds were debuted at this get together, which is proof that the event holds clout with all the enthusiasts and influencers who attend each and every year.
