We’re doing some serious cab fabrication to the Tesla Swapped C10 squarebody build this week! We’re creating the outriggers for our roll cage so we have some in-cab mounting points once we start bending our cage tubing later on down the line. Once Donny gets those outriggers welded into the frame, he’s starting on the seat mounting brackets for our custom Status bucket seats. Using our plasma table, we’re designing and cutting some multi-position brackets for the sides of the seats to give us some adjustability. We’re also building boxes to raise us up to a comfortable driving position and keep our seats (and our butts) secured in place while we’re ripping around the track! Once we have the seats at a good height, it’s time to break out the grinders and cutting wheels to rip out the old firewall. Donny and Mike get a little artsy while designing the new bead-rolled piece of sheet metal that is taking the old firewall’s place! This new firewall really gives the engine bay of this squarebody a new modern look to go with that Tesla Model S motor up there!
