From the moment we walked through the doors of the Pensacola, Florida, facility, we were treated like VIPs. The team at Velocity welcomed us with open arms and showed us firsthand why the company stands head and shoulders above the rest in the classic vehicle restoration world. They didn’t just give us a tour—they gave us an inside look at their entire process, and it was nothing short of impressive. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter Velocity has made a name for itself by transforming iconic vehicles from the ’60s and ’70s into modern-day masterpieces. The operation is massive—we’re talking a 135,000-square-foot facility filled with over 140 skilled technicians, mechanics, and artisans all working together to build some of the best restomods in the business. From the initial design phase to the final test drive, every step of the process happens in-house, ensuring the highest level of quality and attention to detail. What sets Velocity apart is its commitment to delivering a seamless, high-quality experience for its clients. What sets Velocity apart is its commitment to delivering a seamless, high-quality experience for its clients. Building a classic car is usually full of headaches—long timelines, unexpected costs, and endless decision-making. Not at Velocity! It has streamlined the entire process, so whether you’re dreaming of a Ford Bronco, a Chevy K5 Blazer, or a C10 pickup, you’ll receive guidance every step of the way. You know exactly what you’re getting, when you’re getting it, and how much it will cost. That’s unheard of in the restoration world. During our tour, we got to see the entire build process, from the bare chassis to the final test drives. The quality control here is on another level. Each vehicle goes through rigorous testing, including up to 500 miles of driving to ensure it meets Velocity’s high standards. Watching these trucks and cars come to life was nothing short of inspiring. Another thing that impressed me was the passion and expertise of the staff. They’re enthusiasts just like us. You can feel the pride they take in every build. It’s no wonder Velocity is the leader in the restomod industry. Before the tour was over, I was asked which truck we wanted to drive, which put a huge smile on my face. I chose the F-100 and Nicole drove the K5. What a fun experience that was! The trucks drive like brand new vehicles, the interior is super high quality, and everything we touched was designed to perfection. And guess what: If you’re in the area, you can test drive one too! If you’re looking for a classic vehicle with modern performance, Velocity should be your first stop. Velocity is not just building trucks and cars—it’s crafting dreams. And after seeing the operation up close, I can say without a doubt, you won’t find better quality anywhere else. Velocity’s Roots Since 2012, Velocity has aimed to redefine classic car ownership by transforming iconic vehicles into modern masterpieces. The company was founded by Pensacola native Stuart Wilson, who bought his first vintage Bronco while serving in the Navy. Intended for family adventures, it quickly became a project. After his service and years restoring the Bronco, Stuart finished the build and recognized an opportunity. He sold the Bronco and used the proceeds to buy another, beginning a journey that would lead to the creation of Velocity. From a modest 250-square-foot shop, Velocity quickly grew and evolved into an award-winning restoration shop. Today, the company continues to honor its commitment to quality and craftsmanship, transforming classic vehicles into exceptional works of art.
