Up next Crown Vic swapped F-100 from Gateway Performance Published on August 23, 2023 Author Damien Davis Share article Facebook 0 Twitter 0 Mail 0 Altered Metal Show Coverage 2023 Several important factors must align to really put the stamp on a great car show. An impressive lineup of vehicles ranging from clean and classy to radical makes the cut. Good food and vendors slinging merchandise is on top of the list, too. Venue and location play a large part, but what really does it for me is the atmosphere and camaraderie. Luckily for everyone in Rayne, Louisiana, last March, Altered Metal presented by The Rollin Good Co. highlighted these factors, throwing down an awesome show with a super laid-back vibe that lasted all weekend. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter The event happened at the Rayne Frog Festival pavilion with plenty of room for activities. Walking through the gate, I can always count on KIK Clothing to be set up in full display. Vendors lined up in a straight line down the blacktop, assuring me that I wouldn’t go hungry with food and drinks on tap. A healthy mix of VIP parking was underneath and surrounding the pavilion. Leaking out to the show field, the eye candy continued. I easily put my steps in while I captured a killer combo of rides, from lifted to lowered, classic to modern. Throw in the F-100 Takeover crew lined up in full force, and Altered Metal definitely threw punches and is making a name for itself in the show scene. For those who make their automotive obsession a family affair, the Altered Metal crew goes above and beyond. While roaming the grounds and snagging content, I witnessed the Easter Bunny getting candid photos with the kiddos. Face painting and a coloring contest under the pavilion kept the youngsters entertained. It all led up to the Easter egg hunt Saturday afternoon, with other shenanigans going down all weekend, and my homie DJ Maze dropping the beats. All the factors were represented in full effect for an amazing weekend with great people and killer rides. Go ahead and flip through to your 2024 calendar, and put a checkmark down for Altered Metal 2024 on March 22-24. I see Street Trucks making another visit to Rayne, Louisiana!
