FOR Patrick Reid, his 2008 Ford Ranger wasn’t just another truck—it was his first new ride, and it’s been evolving ever since. Named S.I.N. (She Is Not) to clear up any confusion with his previous build, this Ranger has transformed from a clean daily into a jaw-dropping custom truck that turns heads at every show. Built with countless hours of Patrick’s own blood, sweat, and tears, S.I.N. is a true reflection of his passion for the mini-truck scene.
The journey started in 2008 when Patrick dropped the truck 4/6, added 20-inch Centerlines, and gave it a set of charcoal flames. Fast forward to 2016, when the Ranger got bagged, swapped to 18s and 20s, and saw its first major evolution. But Patrick wasn’t done yet. He decided to go lower, so a full bodydrop was in order, followed by a front-end swap and fresh orange flames. Then came the big leap—a round of wild body mods that would take this truck to the next level.
Over the years, Patrick shaved the doors, smoothed the passenger-side bodyline, eliminated the cab seams, and even built a custom valance out of steel. The bed got smoothed, and the interior received a major overhaul, including custom-painted factory plastics, a tweed headliner, and a killer audio system featuring Polk Audio amps and subs. For Patrick, this build wasn’t about chasing trends—it was about creating something that felt uniquely his.
The paint is where S.I.N. really shines. Patrick, an experienced painter and owner of Madd Concepts, went all-out with custom graphics that blend Tamco Tangerine Pearl and factory Ranger Blue. The results are nothing short of stunning on a truck that looks just as good in motion as it does sitting still.
Underneath, the Ranger features a 4-inch traditional bodydrop, 2500 Dominator bags, and a rear step notch. HRBB Gotcha wheels, 18×7 up front and 20×8 at the rear, wrapped in Lionheart tires complete the stance. With the drivetrain kept simple for reliability, S.I.N. is built to ride hard and show off.
Patrick credits his wife, friends, and family for helping him along the way. From long nights in the shop to countless show appearances, S.I.N. is more than just a truck—it’s a testament to dedication, creativity, and a deep love for the custom scene.
