When the club got together to start planning the 2018 event, organizers knew they had a chance to change things up a bit. After throwing a few wild ideas around, a casino with some rad views was absolutely the winner, and they booked the Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino for the event. The 4th annual Severed in the Midwest show idea became a reality. The event was held on Aug. 18, 2018, in the empty lot just outside the casino and surrounded by green hills with beautiful trees–the perfect spot for friends and family to visit from all over the country. Even club members from Canada showed up to party! Other clubs like Balistik, No Regrets, Negative Camber, Freaks of Nature, FFF and many more that traveled to show their support and dedication to our scene, which was much appreciated. There were approximately 125 registered vehicles this year, which is an increase from 2017. With the perfect new location in place for this event moving forward, 2019 should be even more of a reason not to miss out!Subscribe to our weekly newsletter Every year the club dedicates its raffle earnings to a local charity, and this year was no different. WHAS Crusade for Children, which is an agency that has raised millions of dollars over the years to help children with special needs, is the charity of choice and the club is proud to contribute. For over 65 years this organization out of Louisville has been working hard to provide a better future for our children. We thank them for being a part of making a difference! Go to WHASCrusade.org for more information. The businesses are a huge part of being able to bring a car show to life on many levels. Special thanks to: Lowriderdepot.com, Grinder TV, C10 Vatos, Low Label, Garage Gear Clothing, Flo Airride and Jax Wax, just to name a few. We hope to see more and more contributors over the years as this show is destined to grow! For information on how to be a part of 2019, please go to SeveredInTheMidwest.com. Congratulations to Robby Hohlt, president of Indiana Severed Ties Chapter, and the entire club for a fourth successful year! The new location at Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino was a rad choice. We can’t wait to see what you guys have planned for your five-year anniversary! Stay connected with Indiana Severed Ties on Facebook and Instagram @SeveredInTheMidwest.
