Crisp and Clean with Just the Right Amount of Caffeine!

THE TREND IS clear—clean, clean, clean! You’ve heard the saying “less is more.” Well, we are in the movement of less is more, and these classic trucks aren’t playing anymore! Clean trucks are the play!!

“It’s an extreme level of complexity to create the perfect level of simplicity,” says Jason Cassidy of @CassidyCustoms.

That says it all! Those who know his build quality know exactly what he means here.

Trucks and SUVs are the hottest things going right now. You see the auctions or hear how much things are selling for. The reason is they are the in thing! I know, I know. For someone who has always liked C10s, K10s, and Blazers, this doesn’t seem like a foreign concept. For those who thought muscle cars or imports were cool, however, it might be kinda weird. Stuff cycles, and currently, trucks/SUVs are the play!

The way some of these trucks are being built is to the highest level of craftsmanship.

“When you look at someone who spends three plus years tearing a truck apart just to put it all back together in the most precise, meticulous way possible, making upgrades to each part or assembly along the way, it’s no wonder the trucks are just so appealing,” says Jeff Volkier of @lethalcx.

Not that it’s a new trend—Del Ushanko (@delmospeed) was doing this 10 years ago—but the trend is in full force now with “less is more,” making things look so simple and less convoluted. The mantra: clean, clean, clean!

Another thing that I see is that it isn’t just C10s. Other brands are following the Chevy lead and applying the crystal clean motors, shaved firewall, serpentine built drive system, smooth core support, hidden wiring wherever possible, and so much more.

The interior is another area where we see so much improvement and craftsmanship being applied to make things—speakers, gauges, stereo systems, brake boosters, and controls—invisible. Everything is being looked at and evolving in our trucks.

You are seeing a multitude of aftermarket companies make more and more parts and accessories to help the builder facilitate this as well.

Whether you are a purist or someone who pushes the envelope with these trucks and builds, we are seeing some of the raddest, baddest trucks, cars, and SUVs at shows across the country. I hope builders and owners continue to keep the given body lines. It’s the true craftsman who doesn’t want you to see what has been changed so that the purest and the fabricator can both enjoy what has been built!

Keep pushing the builds, keep enjoying them, and keep grinding.
