19th Annual Turkey Drag: Where Show, Cruise, and Relaxation Converge

Show, Cruise, and Relax

By the time your 19th year event rolls around, the roots have grown rather deep. It’s easy to say that Turkey Drag has locked into its niche, and those who run the show know exactly how they want to throw a show. During my first experience at Turkey Drag, I had high hopes for the venue and quality of attendees I would see over the weekend. Speaking with total transparency, Turkey Drag blew past my expectations.

As a photographer who never stops moving and is always searching for that perfect shot, Turkey Drag delivered for me. There was a constant cruise session throughout the showgrounds, making it effortless to grab rolling footage all weekend. The general vibe all weekend was show, cruise, and relax due to the abundant tree coverage and calming lake surrounding the show vehicles. It was easy to forget you were  at a car show. Comradery was at an all time high, and plenty of cool conversations were to be had.

With not much reason to leave the showgrounds, Turkey Drag offers the total package with onsite camping and cabins for showgoers…

Turkey Drag brought out heavy hitters with Gas Monkey Garage on site showing off its most recent project Skid Mark. Richard Rawlings and the crew were out mingling with the car community getting media coverage. JTX Forged Wheels had a full spread of lifted trucks showing off the full line of products it offers. Right across the road was KIK Clothing slinging merchandise out of its enclosed trailers pulled in by its very own ‘bagged HD Chevy pickup. Along with an entire row dedicated to food that included Egg Rollin’ Hut and Loco’s BBQ just to name a couple, there were zero worries about going hungry.

With not much reason to leave the showgrounds, Turkey Drag offers the total package with onsite camping and cabins for showgoers, so there isn’t much reason to leave the showgrounds. Take a minute to flip through these pages and get a glimpse of what Turkey Drag brings to the table. I suggest you put this event on your list of go-to shows in 2024!
